Prove you’re human! To CAPTCHA, or not to CAPTCHA?

When was the last time you were online and had to fill out a form?  Maybe you were buying tickets to a sporting event, or making comments on a blog post.  And how many times did it take you to decipher that blurry set of letters so you could place your order or put your two cents in?

By asking you to crack these sometimes nonsensical codes, often known as CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart), companies are eliminating unwanted, and sometimes inundating, computer bot-generated SPAM.  But are they also deterring people from completing purchases or submitting all sorts of forms?

There is a lot of buzz online about pros and cons of traditional CAPTCHA.  There’s even more information about more modern, more user-friendly ways to “prove you’re human”.  I located a few great articles – take a look and let us know what you think.
