Old Ways Won’t Open New Doors

OK, it is a cliché, but that doesn’t mean it has no reality behind it. It rings true like the famous Einstein quote “Insanity is doing the same things over and over again, and expecting different results.” So while this may seem like a far cry from my standard preaching of marketing consistency, the two ideas actually go hand-in-hand when creating a progressive marketing strategy.

All marketing plans should have certain consistent components, whether they are a monthly newsletter, weekly blog, daily social media update, or the like. You need to have definite ways clients can expect to hear from you, and ways they can rely on receiving information from you. Consistency will always be the backbone of a good marketing strategy.

But does that mean you can’t try anything new?

No. Absolutely not.

If we didn’t try anything new at Haley, you’d still be getting emails designed with 1997 clipart (I shudder at the thought). Trying new aspects for your marketing tactics often has major benefits for your audience, your company, and your bottom line.
