How to Make the Most Out of Each Day

How To Make The Most Of Each Day
Share this:

For as long as I can remember, I have always been a morning person. I loved to be the first person up, and to go wake everyone up was such a joy for me…little did I know not, a single person enjoys being woken early. Everything about watching the sun come and enjoying every minute of the day has always been something I’ve been very passionate about. I can also attribute this to the years of waking up at 3:30 and 4 a.m. to get into the woods to hunt so that motivation was key for me.

My Routine

Now, in my professional career, this same principle of waking up as early as I can to start my day still is a habit while maintaining a good sleep schedule of course. My routine daily consists of waking up at 4:00 a.m. every day, making breakfast and being at the gym by 4:30 a.m. or 4:45 a.m. The morning workout routine really helps me clear my mind and prepare myself for the day. I then get to work at 7:00 a.m. typically before everyone else because I am already in the “work” mindset, so there is no preparing for my day at the office. At that point in the morning, no meetings are set and nothing besides what I need to get done is drawing my attention. When I get up every morning, I have a plan or routine that I follow to ensure my work is done, and I attribute this to starting my day earlier than most people.

Benefit of Starting Early

After my workday is complete at 4:00 p.m., I still have a good portion of my day left to enjoy activities outside of work such as house hunting or any other recreational activity. This routine of getting up earlier has helped me get the most out of my day by allowing me to be the most productive I can be for my clients.

Although I know that not everyone is a morning person, my suggestion, if you want to try and start your day earlier, would be to wake up an hour earlier and see if you feel any more productive at work. This added time could allow you that much-needed extra coffee, time to pack a lunch to save on spending money at the store, extra time to start a gym routine or even just time to alleviate some stress at work by being able to plan your day before you get into the office.

The moral is many very successful people have found that waking up early has allowed them to be much more productive and they can get a lot more out of their day. In my position as a Social Media Marketing Advisor, being prepared for my day earlier ensures I am ready to work when I walk in the door at 7:00 a.m. to provide the best possible service to my clients in answering questions or solving problems that come up throughout the day. By getting into that work mind frame earlier in your day, I think it can be also beneficial in making you more productive throughout your day so you too can be more productive and service your clients better.
