Finding Success in Your Q4 Email Strategy

Share this:

Sending an email in Q4 can seem intimidating. With so many emails coming in around the holidays – from Black Friday to family greetings – it can seem as though your email might get lost in the crowd.

However, there is a right time and strategy for sending email that can still land you the results you want – without getting lost in the twinkling lights.

1) Send the content your audience is expecting from you.

One big mistake many companies make in Q4 is sending out little-to-no email at all. If you send a monthly newsletter the rest of the year, you need to be consistent with that as the year ends. The last thing you want to do is fade to the background – especially when your competition could use this time to stay top-of-mind.

2) Sent timely, relevant content.

This is a great time of year to send articles you have pertaining to end-of-year topics like hiring for 2021, keeping employees engaged during your busy season, finding work before the year ends, relevant eBooks, and more. These don’t have to be mass emails, they can be one-to-one touchpoints with your database.

3) Send seasonal greetings.

While it may not seem pertinent to send a “Happy Thanksgiving” email, it can actually provide a valuable touchpoint to help you stay top-of-mind with your current and potential clients. Take advantage of these holidays and seasonal exchanges to remind your clients and candidates that you are available to help, however they need.

4) Deliver the content your audience needs.

Candidates are looking for jobs at the end of the year. Clients are looking to hire before the new year begins. You have jobs and candidates…what are you waiting for? Sending out “Hot Jobs” or “Top Candidates” emails in Q4 can help deliver exactly what your audience is looking for, exactly when they’re looking for it.
