The American Staffing Association’s (ASA) Staffing Index showed the largest increase since early in January, 2009. During the week of April 27–May 3, 2009, temporary and contract employment increased by 1.58%, resulting in an index value of 73.
This could hopefully be signs of the beginning of a rebound in staffing demand after the index has been flat for the first quarter of 2009.
