Delight Your Staffing Clients with These 4 Ideas

Turkey is tasty, but when it’s served with stuffing, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce, it’s downright delicious.

(Is it lunch time yet?)

Most of us know how to make a Thanksgiving meal delightful. But when it comes to “wowing” staffing customers, what’s the best recipe for success? In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we’re sharing four fun ways to impress, amaze and delight your staffing clients – and have them thanking YOU for months to come!

Send a “love letter.”

Pre-printed “thank you” notes are a nice way to show your clients how much you appreciate them. But with a little extra effort, you can turn “nice” into “delightful”:

  1. Skip the generic “thank you” notes. Use blank note cards pre-printed with your company logo.
  2. Personalize the message. Stay away from hype and cliches; just talk straight and express your sincere thanks, referencing specific details from your business interactions.
  3. Make it a habit. You don’t have to write every client every time they place an order, but you should make writing “love letters” a regular part of your job. Devote just 15 minutes to the practice each week, and within a few months you will have contacted dozens of clients in a meaningful, non-salesy way (the stuff upon which lasting business relationships are built!).

Provide a little something extra.

A great way to delight your staffing customers? Give them something they weren’t expecting. It could be a box of chocolates, a position-specific salary survey, or anything else which has value to the client. The practice generates good will, while increasing your likelihood of earning future business.

Share their content.

You’re trying to educate prospects, properly position your company in the marketplace, and add value for clients and prospects. Guess what? Your clients are trying to do the same things! Aid their efforts by occasionally sharing their content on your company blog or social channels. In addition to showing that you care, it provides a little ego boost that your clients are sure to appreciate.

Remember important things.

Go out of your way to find out birthdays, anniversaries and upcoming events that matter to your clients. Can’t remember dates? No problem – your calendar app or software does. Just plug in key dates and program your calendar to remind you a week ahead of time. Then send a card or gift, or just give them a call to recognize the occasion.

How do you delight your staffing clients? I’d love to know! Share your comments below.

And from all of us at Haley Marketing Group, Happy Thanksgiving!
