I heard this story on the radio on the way in this morning. Economists say the recovery continued during the second quarter with more businesses hiring workers and fewer cutting jobs, but a new survey also showed that the pace of growth has slowed. I found it interesting that 31 percent of businesses added headcount in April and May, which was the highest level in over 3 years.
I have heard from a number of clients that they are seeing moderate increases in business over the last quarter, primarily from clients that are running so lean that they need to add headcount any time they get a new project in or need to increase capacity to meet with fluctuating demand.
