Some people get confused when it comes to Twitter, especially when users tweets include hashtags.
A hashtag allows tweeters and non-tweeters to search a given word or topic within Twitter and anything that was tweeted using the same hashtag will appear in the results. This also allows the any given topic to become conversational.
The hashtag feature will be used during this year’s Super Bowl XLV ads so that viewers can follow on Twitter and discuss the ads right after they are shown on national television. Other advertisers will use YouTube which allows viewers to comment.
