So I got an email from LinkedIn today. And it looks like 89 of my contacts have changed jobs so far this year. Good for them!
But that got me thinking…
89 people is a little less than 10% of my LinkedIn network. If that many people changed jobs in the first half of 2011, what does my marketing database look like? How many of those names are no longer accurate?
Honestly, I’m scared to find out. I’m guessing our prized marketing database that we invested years and tens of thousands in developing is hopelessly out of date.
So it looks like we need to develop some serious strategies to update our list. I have some great ideas in mind, but I’d love to know your thoughts.
What are you doing to ensure the accuracy of your marketing lists?
