amplifierWant to amp-up your clients’ service experiences?

Be honest. Treat them the way you’d like to be treated. And make them feel like your only customer!

Providing shareworthy service, every time, is a principle we hold near and dear. So this week, we’re continuing our series of posts featuring HMG team members‘ best customer service advice, tips and anecdotes for rocking your customer service:

Maggie Neese, Social Media Marketing Advisor

My favorite service tips are to be honest, and to follow the “Golden Rule”:

  • Marcus Sheridan said, “Honest and transparent content is the greatest sales and trust-building tool in the world. Period.” Honesty is one of the many strengths of the Haley team, and it helps us deliver great service in every situation. But whether you’re in marketing or staffing, open communication sets the stage for a great working relationship – because honesty ensures that advice and solutions are always presented with the clients’ best interests at heart.
  • “Treat others the way you wish to be treated” is another favorite of mine, and I believe it’s essential to providing exceptional customer service. No matter what a client or candidate needs, it’s always important to put yourself in his shoes and consider what you could do to make their experience positive.

Matt Lozar, Social Media Marketing Advisor

My best advice? Treat each customer like your only customer.

After all, his company is the most important thing in the world to him – and he wants a partner who feels the same way. We all have multiple clients, so it’s critical to guard against the tendency to treat job orders like transactions – and customers like mere numbers. Before each interaction with a client, pay attention to your mindset, block out distractions (i.e., the needs of other clients) and be truly present for the customer you are serving.
