Paula believes this year’s big topics will include employment trends and economic conditions in the U.S. and worldwide, and the direction in which the staffing market is heading. She sees staffing firms seeking new recruiting resources that will optimize recruiting efforts. Her clients are looking for new strategies to woo job seekers to fill the talent pipeline, improve call-to-appointment metrics and reduce margin pressures.
She’s looking forward to “taking in as much industry-specific content as I can! I want to absorb as much as I can by taking advantage of the sessions presented by industry experts,” Paula says. At the top of her list is meeting clients face to face, and establishing new relationships.

Paula would love to have the opportunity to visit the financial district to take in some of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural creations, mainly the Rookery Building. She’d also love to see The James Charnley House, as this represents an early benchmark in the development of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural career.
Paula’s Staffing World veteran advice:
Wear comfortable shoes! Depending on the venue and where your room is located…. you will be walking a lot, so you need to take care of your feet!
Paula’s favorite Staffing World Memory is meeting the owner of a small staffing firm, with an interest in a new digital presence. Paula prepared an estimate for his new company website. He told her that out of the four estimates he received, Haley Marketing’s was:
