Haley Marketing Group will be at Staffing World in Chicago this October. Will you? The team is eager to meet with and talk to as many people as possible from clients to vendors and thought leaders. Ryan Maher has five Staffing Worlds under his belt and he’s looking forward to this one more than ever.
Here’s a little bit about Ryan:
Ryan Maher, Marketing Consultant
Ryan thinks recruiting strategies and technologies will be big topics of conversation at this event, especially AI & robotics. He’s particularly excited to see Scott Wintrip’s “Strategic Brilliance” session on Effective Leadership.
He wants to find out what’s working and what’s not from both a sales and recruiting perspective and help clients stand out and win in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Over the course of a year, Ryan speaks with hundreds of staffing firms on their most pressing needs and how best to address them. He says you might be surprised what’s most effective in 2017!
“I’ve been to Chicago dozens of times,” Ryan says. “It’s one of my favorite towns. Taking in the skyline from one of the museums across from the Hyatt is always a treat. Chicago is home to some brilliant musicians, which keeps me coming back multiple times a year. If you’re looking for music on a free night, pick my brain!”
Ryan learns a lot from events like Staffing World. Most of his client consultations happen remotely, but he finds he learns so much more meeting everyone in person. “I’d love to learn what’s most important to you this year, and what accomplishments you’re most proud of,” Ryan says.
Ryan’s Staffing World Advice:
There’s a LOT of information to be had. You’re going to get some great takeaways, and you’re not going to be able to implement them all right away.
- Plan to make a Top 3 list at the end of the event
- Get started on the plane ride home while everything is fresh
- Keep your notes and collateral to refer to on lower-priority tasks
- But get started on those Top 3 on the 30th!
Ryan’s favorite Staffing World Memory: The Barenaked Ladies playing on the USS Midway last year in San Diego. It’s pretty hard to top doing 360s in a flight simulator followed by dinner and a rock show.
