Last Spring, Haley Marketing designed a new website for Milwaukee based QPS Companies.  Jill Wellskopf, QPS’s Director of Marketing set forth quite a few challenges. She wanted a new site with a contemporary and highly intuitive design, integration of social media tools for clients and candidates, built on a robust content management platform, optimized for 22 local markets, and oh yeah, the site had to win an award from the American Staffing Association.

Well, not only did the site win a VOICE award from ASA at Staffing World, but the site actually won the BEST OF SHOW award.  And today, I discovered that winning an award was just a small part of the results this staffing website delivered.

Jill and I are currently working on a webinar for ASA on low cost marketing (March 12), and here are a few of the statistics about the QPS website that Jill has in her presentation:

  • 450% increase in overall traffic.
  • 250% increase in candidate applications.
  • Averaging 1 new client each week!

While Jill admits that upgrading your website might not be the lowest cost marketing tactic, she believes that her site has become QPS’s most powerful marketing tool.
