Fire up the grill!
Are you ready for 4th of July picnics and parties?
In the spirit of the upcoming holiday, we’re sharing a recipe for a delicious homemade Barbeque Sauce:
Spicy BBQ Sauce
Ingredients:
- 3 cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/3 cup cider vinegar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- Juice of 3 lemons
- 3 large cloves garlic
- 1-2 tsp black pepper (add more or less to taste)
- 1 tbsp salt (add more or less to taste)
- 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp hot red chili pepper
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 2-3 tsp Tabasco (add more or less to taste)
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
Directions: Combine everything in a double boiler, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is the thickness you want. Be sure not to let the mixture come to a boil, though, it ruins the flavor. To get it to a state where it sticks to the meat without help usually takes about 45-70 minutes over a gentle boil.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe 4th of July!
