I’ve talked to a lot of staffing firm owners lately about SEO (Search Engine Optimization).  While SEO isn’t new, it is something that is somewhat foreign to a lot of the staffing industry.  Over the next week I’ll share a series of three posts designed to introduce you to the basics of site SEO and why it’s so important for your business.

What is SEO?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to your website from search engines like Google, Yahoo!, MSN, and hundreds of others. The goal of SEO is to improve the ranking of your staffing firm’s website when people search on specific keywords and phrases.

Why is Site SEO important for Staffing Firms and Recruiters?
Two plain and simple reasons:

  1. It can turn your website into a great lead generation source
  2. It’s a highly effective recruiting tool

An effective SEO strategy for staffing firms and recruiters will focus on drawing in qualified applicants and area companies looking for the types of services you offer.

In the coming days, I’ll share more information on developing and implementing an effective SEO strategy for staffing and recruitment firms.  In the meantime, feel free to download our Site SEO Guide for Staffing and Recruiting Firms.
